Conditions We Treat

Dizziness & Vertigo

When the world feels like it is moving or you cannot find your footing, the cause is often a mismatch between the inner ear, eyes, and body that we can measure and retrain.

What it is

Dizziness is a broad term for feeling unsteady, lightheaded, or woozy. Vertigo is more specific. It is the false sense that you or the room around you is spinning, even when everything is still.

Both often come from a mismatch between the inner ear, the eyes, and the body. When these systems disagree about where you are in space, the brain can struggle to settle. These symptoms can follow a concussion or an inner-ear problem, and they may linger long after the original event.

Signs you might notice

  • A spinning sensation
  • Lightheadedness
  • Unsteadiness
  • Nausea
  • Symptoms triggered by head movement
  • Visual motion discomfort

How Summit Neuro helps

Our advanced neuro-functional exam looks closely at how your visual and balance systems are working together. Using precise eye-tracking and VNG testing, detailed vestibular analysis, and optokinetic mapping, we measure how the inner ear, eyes, and brain are actually performing, then turn that into objective data.

From there we build a personalized vestibular and brain-based rehabilitation plan that retrains the specific pathways involved in your dizziness or vertigo. We re-test along the way so progress is something you can see and measure, not only something you feel.
