Motion sensitivity is an exaggerated reaction to motion in the environment, such as busy stores, scrolling screens, or driving. Settings that most people move through without a second thought can leave you queasy, dizzy, or worn out.
It often reflects a mismatch between the visual motion you are seeing and what the balance system is reporting. When the two do not line up, the brain has to work harder, and that strain can show up as nausea, dizziness, or fatigue. It is common after a concussion.
Our advanced neuro-functional exam looks at how your visual and balance systems respond to motion. Using precise eye-tracking and VNG testing, detailed vestibular analysis, and optokinetic mapping, we measure how the eyes, inner ear, and brain are working together, then turn that into objective data.
From there we build a personalized vestibular and brain-based rehabilitation plan that retrains the specific pathways involved in your motion sensitivity. We re-test along the way so progress is something you can see and measure, not only something you feel.
