Conditions We Treat
After a sudden injury, whiplash-associated symptoms can reach well beyond the neck, because the neck helps tell the brain where you are.
Whiplash happens when the head is thrown rapidly back and forth, often in a car accident. Beyond neck pain, it can affect balance, vision, and concentration, because the neck sends important position signals to the brain.
When those signals do not match what the eyes and inner ear report, simple activities can feel harder than they should. This is part of why some people notice dizziness or trouble focusing after an injury that seemed to involve only the neck.
We start with our neuro-functional exam, using objective eye-tracking and VNG testing along with vestibular and cervical assessment. This helps us measure how your neck, eyes, and balance systems are working together and where the position signals may be out of sync.
From there we build a personalized, brain-based rehabilitation plan that retrains the specific pathways involved, and we re-test along the way so progress is something you can see in objective data, not just feel.
If symptoms after a whiplash injury are getting in the way of work, driving, or daily life, an evaluation can help identify what needs targeted support.
